Ship's Store

Our well stocked parts department supplies our unmatched Yacht Repair Department. If we don't have the part you need, it's only a day or so away in most cases. We stock everything you need to keep your boat in ship shape. Best of all, our prices are competitive with the much larger chain retailers.

GYB is known in the marine Industry for our ability to locate difficult to find parts. With 60 years of experience in the Marine Industry, we know how to locate those "hard to find" parts. Cindy, our Store Manager, has over 30 years of experience in identifying parts and answering questions about marine products and accessories. 

We are parts and accessories dealers for some of the  names in the marine industry. Mercruiser, Yanmar, Cummins, Onan, Caterpillar, Detroit Diesel, Fisher Panda, Volvo and OMC Bombardier parts are all in stock in our Marine Store. Our staff is proficient in the science of marine parts and accessories. 

Our Marine Store provides commonly requested services such as line splicing (3-strand), mooring setup and battery cable crimping. Our store staff can also provide you with UPS shipping services, transportation services, equipment rental services and more. Just stop in or give us a call! Harbor Shop

GYB's Harbor Shop has something for everyone, landlubbers and mariners of all ages! Enjoy a complimentary cup of coffee or tea (doughnuts on the weekends!) while leisurely browsing the many items available in our Harbor Shop. You will find a variety of souvenired items, mens and womens casual clothing, boating shoes, nautical gifts, beverages including beer and wine, and much more are offered in the Harbor Shop. Our hand-picked casual clothing selections for men, women and children are perfect for active lifestyles. Sun Moda, Woolrich, Sperry TopSider and J. America labels ensure quality and value.

For the little ones our Harbor Shop has a section of toys, games and activities for entertainment and education. We also stock a variety of goggles, games and gear for use in our swimming pool and for play on the river.

Our Harbor Shop also has many food, health and beauty aid items for your convenience. Beer, wine, beverages and ice are all available from our Store. You can even pick up a Sunday paper (after you have a complimentary cup of coffee and some doughnuts!).

Transportation Services

Georgetown Yacht Basin offers several options for transportation. For your convenience we have a rental vehicle on premise. We also offer car and driver service for trips to regional airports, train stations and other locations. 

Our 2004 Ford Freestar Minivan seats 7 passengers and is available for hourly rental on a first come, first served basis. Our hourly rate is currently $20 per hour (price includes 30 free miles each hour) plus $.60 per mile over the hourly allowed  mileage. The current Maryland vehicle rental tax is 11.5%. Fuel is included in this pricing. If you need to fuel the van during your trip, present us with the receipt for reimbursement. Vehicle is only available to U.S. citizens, 25 years of age or older, with a current U.S. drivers license.

Our car and driver service currently runs $30 per hour plus $.60 per mile, round trip. An arrangement for a car with driver needs to be made at least 36 hours in advance. This service is dependent upon availability of the rental vehicle and driver.
