Multihull Service, Repair and Dockage

Located at LAT N39° 21.66 LON W75° 53.08, Georgetown Yacht Basin is just north of the latitude required by insurance providers for summer dockage. GYB offers the largest marine travel lift on the Chesapeake Bay, capable of hauling 110 tons, 30.5 foot beam. Dry  ashore summer dockage, tee-head dockage, fixed pier dockage, and moorings are all available for multihull owners.

Do-It-Yourself dry dockage is available in our yard for customers who wish to maintain their vessel themselves. Lodging is available for customers that are ashore for longer periods of time and wish to remain in the immediate area. Please inquire about the availability and options for lodging with our Yacht Repair Department when you are requesting hauling or repair services.

GYB is located on the naturally deep fresh water Sassafras River. Our unique location is considered a haven by many when hurricanes threaten the Mid-Atlantic. Our safe harbor is the ideal place for multihull customers to spend the summer season for repair or leisure.

Our staff of tenured and well experienced master diesel technicians specialize in Yanmar and Volvo Penta service and repair. Our carpentry and paint department has extensive experience in multihull renovations. In addition to mechanical and structural work, GYB's skilled rigger has over 30 years of experience and can make short work of your spar and rigging needs. Don't forget about our Sail Loft and Canvas Shop for your sail, canvas and trampoline needs.
