About Us

Georgetown Yacht Basin, Inc. was founded in 1949 by Ralph Owens Hall and his wife, Helene. GYB has remained in the Hall family and is now being operated under the supervision of 3rd generation family members. In the 60 years that GYB has been in business it has grown substantially into the premier marine resort facility it is today.

Georgetown Yacht Basin is open year around, 7 days a week, employing over 40 people through the year. On season our staff grows significantly with some of the best dock hands on the Chesapeake. We're sure you will find all of our staff knowledgeable, professional and eager to be of assistance.

We are pleased to have as a part of our operation the Granary Marina and Restaurant as well as the newly acquired Kitty Knight Inn and Restaurant. Our facilities provide the finest products and services at very competitive and reasonable rates. You'll find that our attention to detail and willingness to meet your individual needs will set our customer service experience apart from the rest.
